Once in a while, something comes along that changes the way you do things.  It could be a cool new and handy gadget with  features, bells and whistles.   Sometimes, the gizmo might be so hot, you’re left to stand in long lines to avail yourself of a new prized possession (hello iPhone, iPad, iEverything).  Or sometimes, with luck, you won’t have to stand in line at all.

I discovered Cozi, a family organizational application through my Twitter feed recently.  I knew who I could share the information with!  My sister was managing her two very active teenagers via  her iPhone and often times, had a difficult time tracking them.  In fact, when I shared the Cozi link on Facebook, it was my niece who  immediately replied “We need that!”.  And so they downloaded it.

And they love it!  Their entire household is now organized, by schedule.  This means mom doesn’t have to pull her hair anymore, and the youngest teen is not left without someone who can take her to her sporting events after school and the weekend.  Somehow, everything became very organized overnight.  And it was on all their mobile devices.

Even I have access to their schedules as I’m able to log in to their family account.

So today, I wanted to try it for myself and downloaded the app on my phone.  I’ve now entered all my scheduled appointments, my To Do List and even a grocery shopping list.  Best yet, there’s a “Journal” section which will come in handy when I have an enlightened moment.  Unless those shining moments happen when I’m by a body of water, my phone now holds every thing I need to stay on top of my plans for the day, week and month.

 I am officially device dependent.
