I don’t have to read magazines to figure out what the latest is in hair fashion.  I pretty much just have to notice what  my nieces come up with.  I’m happy to say they’re not playing with outrageous hair coloring but it’s fun to see them sport the latest in hair play ~ and no, I don’t envy my sister for having to pay for these services.

So I dissected my niece’s hair a few weeks ago.  And asked to see an extension.  And apparently there’s more than a few ~ like many around the head.  And fun if you’re patient.  That’s the image on the left taken on Christmas and her hair  was curled and I can’t tell which is real and which has been clipped on.  I wish I could sport long hair.

Hair Play !

At a family friend’s salon a few weeks ago, another play with hair, this time via Ombré highlights which is a graduated system from darker in the roots to lighter at the bottom.  The procedure lasts about 2 1/2 hours or so (Lord, give me patience! Did I already mention that?) and done by a trained stylist.  Here’s the back,  front and side of it.   Do you like playing with your hair?  How much time do you spend styling your hair each day?
