The gates to the Castello di Amorossa seemed normal enough, until you drive up the hill and witness the spectacular vignette of a 12th century medieval castle set in “Tuscany”, complete with orderly rows of grapevines and cypress trees. If I wasn’t sober at 11am, I could have sworn I was looking out of the walls of San Gimignano.
