iChill ~ Therefore I Sleep (Like A Baby)

What’s a girl to do if she can’t sleep at night?  No, not insomnia ~ just a busy day working a couple revolutions and  drinking too much coffee and Coke Zero which equates to a boatload of caffeine.   This was my dilemma the other night.  I had accidentally taken a 2 hour nap after

Cool Gadget Alert: IRIScan Book 2 – I Don’t Leave Home Without It

First of all, true confessions. I’ve secretly ripped off some cool recipes or articles while waiting for my hair treatment to be done. More than once but probably not more than one hand. I felt guilty the few times I’ve had to do that. Or sometimes (same fave salon), I’m into a very interesting story on Vanity Fair and they tell me it’s time for a shampoo. They’re very efficient in this place!

Tutto® Camera on Wheels ~ My Fabulous Find and the Ultimate in Mobile Photography

My heart jumped for joy when I discovered Tutto®’s Camera on Wheels bag at MacWorld last week.  I’ve had difficulty finding (and being happy with)  THE PERFECT solution to transporting my camera gear for photo shoots.  See, I like my handbag and lately I’ve resorted to carrying my camera in my handbag with my 24-70mm

The Kitchit Experience – Exquisite Dinner Parties At Home with World Class Chefs

Recently, through a friend of mine who works several revolutions via a couple of start ups, I discovered a new little company in my neck of the woods with a touch of class and je en sais quoi. The kind that made heads turn and say…”Really? I want that! The company is called Kitchit and (to me) they certainly stood out not because they invented the concept of having a chef cook a private dinner in someone’s home. They thought outside that box

Ring in the Holidays with Chocolate Fudge

The other day I posted a recipe on Facebook for Chocolate Fudge and it seemed to be something many craved for.  It was also a fairly easy recipe.  Today, our Sydney contributor Eileen Novak shared a photo of her fudge which she made over the weekend to the delight of her mom who was visiting

Finding Balance in the Midst of Living a Good Life. My “Return To You” Story

I can almost touch the days when I went from carefree child to responsible single adult to wife and mother; it’s as if it were yesterday. It happened in a flash. So did the part where I was a young mother frantically raising a family, and enjoying the majority of it, to the mother of adults.

Then it happened. I have been going to the gym for about half my life now, but I have never been as fanatical about trying to get there everyday

Spotlight on Cool: BrainFry Concepts, A Small Business with Big Ideas Thinking In and Outside the Box

Mariana and Peter couldn’t believe what they saw when they received their ‘Message in a Bottle.’ Originally, their request for a Save the Date for their wedding had started out simply enough: a map showing trips of their US based friends and family to the site for their wedding to be held in Ecuador. What they received, instead, was a beautifully ornate and unique message within a bottle, placed in a box made to look like an old fashioned steamer trunk.

New Olay Professional Pro-X Clear Helped Me Say Goodbye to Red

Most of the time, red is good.  In fact, I love red ~ it’s one of my favorite colors.  Red makes you stand out.   Red sometimes makes heads turn, it’s easily recognizable.   Sometimes, though, I have a slightly little problem with red.  Especially when it’s in my face and there’s a medical term

Burger Bars! Juicy Custom Burgers at The Counter

The goal was to find (and feature) some of the best burgers in the Bay Area, so we headed off to The Counter in San Mateo by the Hillsdale Mall last weekend.  I had already been to the one at Santana Row in the past but this was my sister’s first time.   Ode to

Outdoor Paella Big Enough to Feed An Army of Good Friends

We had a humongous party over the weekend to celebrate the birthdays of some special friends.  A huge paella was our main event ~ part of the menu which included grilled chicken, steak and oysters.  A paella negra was also part of the feast (cooked with squid ink).  Watching the outdoor paella cook, from start
