My sister, Anna,  and I were in the city to meet, visit and review two establishments for our blog.  But as it always is when we are together ~ sisterhood comes first and foremost.  I like hanging out with my kid sis.  San Francisco holds special memories to both of us.  It is home to some of our happiest childhood memories ~ as well as one of the saddest times in our life as our oldest sister had called it home years ago before she passed away.    To me,  the city was our sister’s last home, the place we visited each week for almost 6 months while we crammed good times into very little time.   As music tends to do with me (as does certain scents)  ~ bring me back to a place in time ~ so do certain places.  I just don’t realize it, until I’m back.   It turns out, this place holds a spot in my heart and I flashbacked to yestertimes at the Square.

Memories of yesterdays in my youth

Ghirardelli’s Uncorked Festival was a-buzz with wine, music and food.  It wasn’t the main reason we were here, but it still was  a good party.   Wine merchants and their booths with folks who came to sample and enjoy a pleasant afternoon.   There was music, of course!

After a little bit of time at the Square,  we sat by the water and chatted for a bit as we were killing time for our second interview of the day.  It doesn’t take much to fall in love with San Francisco.   Sit by any wall and face the water.  You’ll not find any other gorgeous weather-blessed place on earth.

Certain spots bring memories back. This was one of them.

Then we decided we still had time to venture off to Fisherman’s Wharf.  That’s where I counted a million people.  It was busy, tourist-filled and buzzing.   Lots of smiley happy people of the super chill kind. Kind of cool to see.  Here are the sights.  You can imagine the sound.

If you ever happen to find yourself in this part of town,  it’s customary to leave your heart behind ~ come back, and often.  And, oh yeah.  There’s lots of fish here!  And of course, clam chowder and chocolate!
